New Blog
Forgive my stubbornness in an earlier post.
I decided to give Tumblr a try and found that it has its perks.
For the most part, everything at the new blog will be here as well. Actually this blog should have more postings and more information compared to the new one. The new blog has a better image sharing service; their images are more saturated and are a higher resolution.
If I end up getting more into photography for photography's sake, perhaps that is when the new blog will feature items not shown here. Keep checking this blog for posts about school work, but please check out the new one as well.

Great Commercial
LOL, I think this is a really clever and funny commercial.
Just thought I'd share it with everyone.

Steven Klein

Steven Klein is a well known American fashion photographer. He is known for his collaborations with Brad Pitt, Tom Ford, and Madonna. He has also worked with other celebrities such as Britney Spears, Edward Norton, Beth Ditto, Christiano Ronaldo, Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johaansen, and many others. He is a frequent contributer to Vogue and W Magazine.

In Addition to his advertising and editorial work, he has done a lot of work in the field of moving images/stop motion. He does this by taking many photos of a moving subject. But rather than rather than just showing them quickly in order like a regular stop motion film, he repeats strange, usually awkward movements several times to create a very repetitive, bizarre effect.

His website has many examples of his photography and several videos showing the unique take on stop motion animation he takes. This is the type of style I would like to try with for my next digital project.

Mixed Media Photography
For our next project, I must incorporate some form of analog art with my digital photography. I began researching and found this artist who puts photos of her family and friends onto metal pot lids. I obviously won't use her ideas because I want to be original and more importantly, I don't have lids lying around, but it got my creative juices flowing. Check back in a couple weeks to see my solution to this problem. The artist's name is Sally Mankus.
