Very classy! I think that it takes as much talent to make some overly-complicated typeface as it does to hold back and make something simple and understated. You have done just that, cheers!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure I personally love that you abandoned the pink. I saw the typeface as more of a retro than a Victorian.
ReplyDeleteHowever, this spread definitely identifies with a book you might find in the library, there's something comical in that brown. Having said that, I hope its what you were going for.
OOoo as for the Drop cap. Beatrice Bold... that's hot
